Our Garden Segment is searching for a Territory Manager – Inside Sales to work in our Madison, GA location.  This position will be responsible for the sales and account management of defined Independent Retailers (garden centers, home and hardware, farm and ranch retailers), as well as generating new accounts within the lawn and garden arena.

 MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Demonstrates success in account management and account generation
  • Follows-up on inbound lead emails and phone calls from business owners and managers
  • Identifies potential new customers with internal and external contacts, networks and databases
  • Responsible for data maintenance in a CRM (customer relationship management) system
  • Technically proficient (in-house expert) on all branded and vendor partner products  
  • Responsible for learning and being informed on new and existing products
  • High comfort level and expertise with answering customer technical questions regarding products actives
  • Coordinates cross-functionally on shipments’ status to ensure customer expectations are met


IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
  • Successful experience in sales is preferred
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence decision makers
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Professional demeanor and integrity; works extremely well in teams
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
