Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: 12111 Ford Road, Dallas, TX 75234

Pay: $20-$30 an hour, depending on experience

Shift: Flex Sunday-Saturday with core hours Monday-Thursday, 10 hour/day, OT required, fill in second shift coverage required

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for complete preventive maintenance requirements to ensure reliability of production machinery such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.  He or she must be able to utilize diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions and respond to calls for assistance from production lines and fellow maintenance technicians.

You will use our Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and perform assigned tasks and update PMs and system information along with being relied upon to locate root causes of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Safety is a big deal at Central Life Sciences – you will safely disassemble, repair or replace defective machine components, and ensure that repairs are complete, and the machinery is functioning properly along with determining changes in dimensional requirements of equipment components by inspecting parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, along with completion of a technical school or apprentice program in maintenance and at least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting as a Maintenance Technician.  You must be able to lift 30 pounds occasionally and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner while using power tools, hand tools, and other devices necessary for completion of your tasks.  If you have experience with welding, industrial wiring, soldering, machining, and rigging that's a bonus!

Your work environment will be on the production floor of a manufacturing facility and you will be required to operate on or around heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lift, or large moving machinery.  You will also be required to be respirator trained for Half and Full-Face respirators and be able to enter confined spaces on an infrequent basis.
